In a rare interview, 2022 Southlake (Texas) Carroll five-star, No. 1-ranked signal caller and Ohio State pledge Quinn Ewers reaffirmed his pledge to the Buckeyes in the strongest possible terms, saying that his recruitment is all Ohio State as he enters the summer camp circuit.

“It’s all Ohio State,” Ewers said in an interview with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. “They (other programs) kind of stopped calling.”

Ewers explained that along with the dwindling attempts from other suitors, his connection to Ohio State has led to his recruiting shutdown.

“Relationship,” Ewers said when asked about what drew him to Ohio State. “They are always competing for a national championship. Those are the main things. Relationships and competing for championships.”

It’s been a big month for the Southlake Carroll star, who was selected as one of the quarterbacks to participate in the annual Elite 11 Finals after showing out at the Dallas regional camp.
