Despite not having the final that it wanted, Ohio State did not go home completely empty handed, with sophomore forward Dorka Juhasz earning a spot on the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Juhasz was joined by Michigan forward Naz Hillmon, Maryland forward Stephanie Jones, Maryland guard Ashley Owusu and Indiana guard Ali Patberg, with Owusu taking the award for most outstanding player in the tournament.
In four games, the most by any team in the tournament, Juhasz averaged 12.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from three.
Ohio State’s second-year forward earned the honor after a regular season where she led the team in points (13.3 PPG) and rebounds (9.1 RPG), while also continuing to shoot effectively both overall (48.4 percent) and from deep (38.9 percent).
Those numbers earned Juhasz a spot on the First-Team All-Big Ten list, the only Ohio State player to make it on either the First or Second team.
In the final against Maryland, Juhasz led Ohio State with 20 points on 8-0f-18 shooting, hitting on 4 of 6 triples while adding five rebounds.
