Ohio State men’s basketball now joins the football team with the No. 1 overall class of 2022, regaining the title with the commitment of Chattanooga (Tenn.) Hamilton Heights Christian Academy four-star center Felix Okpara, who made the announcement on Instagram July 26.

“Thank you to all the coaches for recruiting me. Thank you to my family, high school and AAU coaches for helping me through the process,” Okpara wrote in the Instagram post. “With that being said I will be committing to The Ohio State University!”

Okpara ranks as the ninth-best center and No. 47 overall prospect in the class after averaging 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game this past season.

Okpara becomes the fourth commitment for the Buckeyes in 2022, joining Cincinnati Princeton three-star shooting guard Bowen Hardman, Youngstown (N.Y.) Lewiston Porter Senior four-star shooting guard Roddy Gayle Jr. and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star point guard Bruce Thornton.
