It’s no secret that Ohio State has been looking for another quarterback in its 2027 class.

The Buckeyes have had four-star signal caller Brady Edmunds of Huntington Beach, Calif., committed to the class since December of 2024. But recently, possibly due to OSU being in contact with other top quarterbacks in the cycle, Edmunds seems to be entertaining other programs.

He has visited UCLA, and the Bruins QB coach has come to his high school to visit him, as has Northwestern offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was with the Buckeyes when Edmunds pledged.

But Edmunds said recently that he doesn’t know what would pull him away from the Buckeyes because he hasn’t seen anything that has convinced him yet.

“As of now I don’t know, because I haven’t been shown it,” Edmunds told 247Sports. “That’s the hard part about it. I’ve just been so Ohio State all my life it would be hard for another team to overturn it. But we’ll see.”

This weekend, Edmunds is one of 20 quarterbacks participating in the Elite 11 Finals. He didn’t grade very well in the first day of the competition, but recruiting experts at the event say he improved on Saturday.

Rivals rated him the No. 8 quarterback of day two, with OSU target and Nebraska commit Trae Taylor at No. 5. Andrew Ivins of 247Sports graded Edmunds’ day two performance as a B, as he scored the most points in the accuracy challenge/

With about six months to go until the 2027 class signs with their teams, Edmunds’ recruitment remains a topic of discussion. For now, the four-star is still locked in with the Buckeyes.
