With spring practices over, Ohio State coaches have been able to get back on the road for recruiting visits and have made some scholarship offers on those visits.

The Buckeyes recently got a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Davis Seaman to add to the 2027 class, their fifth offensive lineman commitment in the cycle already, but they have also been trying to build relationships in the 2028 class.

San Bernadino (Calif.) Cajon five-star offensive tackle Austin Attalah

The Buckeyes extended an offer to Attalah recently to enter the elite tackle’s recruitment. Heis considered the 27th-best prospect in the 2028 class and the third-ranked offensive tackle in the country by 247Sports composite rankings.

He already holds 24 Division I offers, which include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Washington, Wisconsin and Notre Dame, among many others.

His recruitment has taken off after his sophomore season in high school, with nearly all of his offers coming in 2026, and many of his top Power Four offers coming from late-March through April.

Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton four-star safety Kacey Allen

The Buckeyes offered Allen the same day as Attalah, becoming his 14th Division I scholarship offer to this point. Allen is the No. 331 player in the 2028 class and the No. 28 overall safety.

His 14 offers are from Arizona, BYU, Cal, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Oregon State, Colorado State and Northern Arizona.

In his sophomore season, Allen finished with 79 tackles, nine of which were for loss, eight passes broken up and four interceptions, per 247Sports.

Rutherford, N.J., tight end Quinn Weber

Ohio State tight ends coach Keenan Bailey got in the race for Weber on Wednesday when he extended a scholarship offer to the 2028 tight end.

The Buckeyes are just the fourth program to extend an offer to Weber. The other three are from West Virginia, UConn and Duke. Weber is currently unranked in the 2028 class, but with the Buckeyes now chasing after him, he could start to garner more attention.

Weber finished his sophomore season with 34 catches for 427 yards and fie touchdowns after a freshman season in which he had 11 receptions for 125 yards and two scores. He also played on the defensive side of the ball with 67 tackles and two tackles for loss.

OSU Enters Recruitment For 2027 QB

According to Brian Dohn of 247Sports, Ohio State has entered the conversation for Peter Bourque, a four-star quarterback out of Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy. He is considered the No. 83 prospect in the country and the No. 7 quarterback.

Bourque was committed to Michigan for six months, decommitting from the Wolverines on Feb. 17 to reopen his recruitment. Dohn reported that OSU quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler was at Bourque’s high school on Tuesday to watch the four-star throw.

The Buckeyes have held a commitment from four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds since December of 2024, but have been toying with the idea of adding a second quarterback to the class.

Bourque finished his junior season of high school completing 131 passes on 207 attempts for 2,241 yards and 18 touchdowns while running for 688 yards and 15 scores on 80 tries. Georgia, Virginia Tech and Auburn are also in the race for Bourque.

The Buckeyes have also been in on four-star Wonderful “Champ” Monds IV, who set his commitment date for May 1. He is down to Florida State, Notre Dame and Ohio State after reclassifying from the 2028 class.
