Ohio State Women’s Basketball’s Game Sunday Against Rutgers Postponed Due To COVID-19 Issues In Rutgers Team

For the sixth time this season, Ohio State women’s basketball has had a game postponed or canceled due to COVID-19.

This time, it is Sunday’s 2 p.m. matchup against Rutgers that has been postponed due to coronavirus issues within the Scarlet Knights program. Rutgers also had its matchup Thursday against Purdue postponed for the same reason.

Ohio State has now played five total games and has currently lost six on the schedule – games against Akron, Saint Mary’s, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State and now Rutgers – though the four against Big Ten opponents can potentially be rescheduled at a later date.

Three of those lost games were due to Ohio State’s issues with COVID-19 that had the team not play a game between Dec. 10 and Jan. 4, a span of 25 days.

The Buckeyes still have a game Thursday night against Illinois with a chance to move to 6-0 and 2-0 in the Big Ten. That matchup takes place at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on Big Ten Network.
