After announcing Monday that the players who are not quarantined or in isolation were at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for workouts on Monday, Ohio State announced Tuesday that the team has resumed organized team activities.
“The Ohio State University football team will resume organized team activities this afternoon in preparation for its game Saturday against Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich.,” the statement reads.
The Buckeyes are coming off a week in which they canceled their matchup against Illinois in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 within the team, despite not reaching the numbers set by the Big Ten that requires a game to be canceled.
After losing a game earlier in the season to Maryland from the Terrapins’ own issues with COVID-19, Ohio State cannot afford to lose any more games on the schedule if it wants to make the Big Ten Championship game on Dec. 19.
