Another former Buckeye has found a new home with tight end Patrick Gurd transferring to Cincinnati on Monday.

He has just one year of eligibility remaining after spending five seasons in Columbus. Most of his playing time was spent on special teams over that span, but he did catch one pass for 6 yards this season, also getting in for occasional blocking situations near the goal line.

He joins another former Buckeye in the tight end room with the Bearcats, Joe Royer, who has spent one season with Cincinnati now, catching 50 passes for 521 yards and three touchdowns.

He also joins former Ohio State running back Evan Pryor and safety Kye Stokes, who both also transferred to Cincinnati last offseason.
