Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave has posted some impressive statistics while at Ohio State, and now the data and analytics experts at Pro Football Focus have taken a deeper dive into those numbers, allowing them to share yet another remarkable stat on Twitter.
This doesn’t obviously count times when the opponent successfully defended the pass or that Olave ran the wrong route. However, it’s still an extraordinary feat.
PFF has also named Olave the top returning receiver for next season, noting that, “Olave has generated a step or more of separation on over 87% of his targets since 2019, the highest rate in the country.”

Olave had 50 catches for 729 yards and 7 touchdowns last year and has 111 receptions for 1,775 yards and 22 touchdowns in his college career.
