Hicks is the fourth Ohio State player to commit to an All-America game, but the first from the 2022 class to receive and accept an invitation.
Ohio State’s 2021 commits that are committed to the upcoming Under Armour All-America Game include Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Pickerington (Ohio) North five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star defensive end Tunmise Adeleye.
Another member of the Buckeyes’ 2021 class, Streetsboro, Ohio four-star defensive tackle Mike Hall, was also committed to the All-America game, but ultimately chose to instead play in the All-American Bowl, making it eight Buckeyes playing in that Jan. 9 game.
Hicks is ranked as the 15th-best athlete in the class and the No. 162 prospect overall, and is one of three current commits in the Buckeyes 2022 class with a pair of West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West members in four-star cornerback Jyaire Brown and four-star offensive tackle Tegra Tshabola.
