Ohio State head coach Ryan Day will be inducted into the University of New Hampshire Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 4.

The eighth-year head coach is being recognized for his playing days at the college level, where he started for three years under offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.

From 1999 to 2001, Day set nine records for the program, with 53 touchdown passes, a completion percentage of 59.9 percent, 653 career completions and 8,492 total yards, among others. His 53 touchdown passes remains at fifth place on the all-time leaderboard for the university.

While Day had a lot of success on the field for the Wildcats, his future in football was in coaching, and he began at New Hampshire as the tight ends coach in 2002, moving his way up the ranks through multiple programs, including NFL franchises, before making it to Ohio State in 2017 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Day will be unable to attend the induction ceremony since the Buckeyes are set to play at Iowa on Oct. 4.

In eight seasons at the helm of the Buckeyes, Day had accumulated a record of 82-12 and won a national championship in the 2024 season.
