At long last, Ohio State football is back. Or, on the precipice of being back, at least, with just over 24 hours to go before the Buckeyes kickoff against Nebraska to open their 2020 season.
To celebrate, and to prepare, we welcomed Hail Varsity’s Erin Sorensen to the program this week to get the full scoop on Nebraska, from quarterback Adrian Martinez, needed improvement up front on both sides of the ball, and a potential star in safety Deontai Williams. The interview starts about eight minutes in, after a brief news segment and some laughs about the AP ballot with Virginia at No. 17.
After talking to Erin, Wyatt and Patrick reconvene through the magic of audio editing to give some extended thoughts on the matchup at hand, players to watch, matchups that will decide the game and picks, both against the spread and as a score prediction, the latter of which saw Wyatt brutally bully Patrick for his inability to do math.
Unfortunately, there is also some Browns talk, which can be skipped if you don’t want to have your day ruined by immense sadness and angst over Baker Mayfield.
Lastly, a quick look around the college football world, rapid Big Ten picks against the spread, and a delayed Buck Box, which will be pushed either to Monday or next week.
