Ohio State opened on top of the College Football Playoff rankings last week, and a 35-16 win over Rutgers in which the Buckeyes trailed at the half was not enough for the committee to move Ohio State off the top of the rankings this time around.

The Buckeyes stuck at No. 1 in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday, head of No. 2 Georgia. No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Florida State also in the top four, and No. 5 Washington and No. 6 Oregon are the first two teams out. Ohio State and Michigan are joined by No. 10 Penn State and No. 22 Iowa, the only other Big Ten representatives, and it establishes a top-10 matchup when the Wolverines visit the Nittany Lions on Saturday.

Also in the top 10 are No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Alabama and No. 9 Ole Miss. The largest rise in the poll belonged to No. 15 Oklahoma State, which rose seven spots after defeating Oklahoma, while both No. 19 LSU and No. 20 Notre Dame fell five spots after suffering their third losses of the season.
