Ohio State added a new official member of the team on Wednesday, as freshman offensive lineman Carson Hinzman became the latest Buckeye to lose his black stripe.
Hinzman is a true freshman out of Hammond, Wisconsin., who was a four-star prospect out of high school and enrolled early to Ohio State this past summer. He has yet to take a snap at Ohio State but has shown enough on the practice field to earn the distinction.
He is the 18th true freshman to lose his black stripe this season, and the 24th member of the team to lose it since this past spring.
