Ohio State made another addition to its 2027 class on Sunday when four-star edge rusher Wyatt Smith committed to the Buckeyes.
Smith is the 12th player in the class for the Buckeyes and joins five-star edge rusher DJ Jacobs as the only two defensive lineman committed to OSU this cycle so far.
Smith is the 78th-ranked player in the country and the No. 11 defensive end in the class out of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where former Buckeyes Joey and Nick Bosa joined OSU from. He is the third-highest ranked player pledged to Ohio State in the 2027 class.
With Jacobs ranked as the fourth overall player in the country, OSU defensive line coach Larry Johnson is off to a great start this cycle.
Smith also joins five-star wide receiver Jamier Brown, four-star offensive tackle Kellen Wymer, four-star safety Eli Johnson, four-star linebacker Quinton Cypher, four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds, four-star offensive tackle Brody McNeel, four-star offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis, four-star offensive tackle Davis Seaman, three-star offensive lineman Mason Wilt and three-star safety Angelo Smith.
Smith chose Ohio State over Missouri, Notre Dame and Indiana.
