Two Buckeyes earned recognition on the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Region Teams, as Ohio State first baseman Dane Harvey and shortstop Henry Kaczmar were both named to the East All-Region Second Team. The ABCA/Rawlings announced the honors on Tuesday.

After two seasons at Ohio State, Kaczmar transferred to South Carolina for a year before returning to Columbus for his senior season.

The Bath, Ohio native Kaczmar played in all 55 games for the Buckeyes, finishing second on the team with a .316 batting average behind Harvey’s .328 mark. He paced the Buckeyes with 71 hits and 50 runs scored while also setting a career high with 12 home runs.

Kaczmar finished the season with 26 doubles, which broke the Ohio State single-season record and led the Big Ten during the regular season. He also went 7-for-8 in stolen bases.

Harvey was dominant in his first season with the Buckeyes after transferring from Cowley County Community College. The 6-5, 270-pound first baseman tied Dan Seimetz’s and Zach Dezenzo’s single-season home run record with 19 on the season. He also led the Buckeyes with 57 RBIs and a .729 slugging percentage.

Harvey totaled 58 hits, 14 doubles, and his .415 on-base percentage ranked second only to catcher Mason Eckelman.

Both Harvey and Kaczmar were All-Big Ten Second Team selections.
