Ohio State announced the completion of its non-conference football schedule through 2028 today. Added to what was already scheduled will be games against New Hampshire on Sept. 11 2027 and Northern Illinois on Sept. 16, 2028.
The Buckeyes have never matched up against the New Hampshire Wildcats, who are currently at the FCS level, but Ryan Day played in college and started his coaching career there as a tight ends coach in 2002.
Ohio State has played Northern Illinois twice. In Week 1 of the 2006 season they beat the Huskies 35-12, and the Buckeyes most recently beat them only 20-13 on Sept. 19, 2015.
Those are the two years the Buckeyes will be playing a home-and-home series against Alabama. The Crimson Tide game in 2027 will be one week after New Hampshire and in 2028 will be one week before the Northern Illinois game.
