Ohio State added yet another player to its 2026 recruiting class when three-star tight end Nick Lautar flipped from Louisville to Ohio State on Sunday.

He’s the second addition to the class of the day after four-star edge rusher Dre Quinn committed to Ohio State in the morning. Quinn’s and Lautar’s commitments were enough to take the Buckeyes up from the seventh to the sixth-ranked class in the country.

Lautar is now the only tight end in the Buckeyes class after three-star Corbyn Fordham flipped away from Ohio State and committed to Florida State earlier in the fall.

He is the No. 924 player in the country, the No. 52 tight end and the No. 41 player in the state of Ohio. He plays at Lebanon High School, and is a two-sport athlete as a district-qualifying wrestler. He finished his junior football season with 23 catches for 267 yards and three touchdowns.

Lautar is the sixth addition to the class in November. He joins three-star interior offensive lineman Mason Wilhelm, four-star athlete Legend Bey, Quinn, four-star cornerback Jay Timmons and four-star defensive lineman Emanuel Ruffin as November additions.
