Ohio State earned its second commitment in the 2026 class in the last two days when three-star safety Khmari Bing pledged his services on Tuesday.

Bing was committed to Maryland until he backed off of that pledge on Oct. 6. Just eight days later, he has decided to commit to the Buckeyes. He took an official visit to Ohio State for the Oct. 4 win over Minnesota.

Bing chose Ohio State over Alabama and Indiana, both of which he was also considering after decommitting from the Terrapins. He had an official visit to get to Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Nov. 8. He hasn’t said whether he will still make that visit.

Bing is considered a cornerback on 247Sports, but has been recruited by Buckeyes’ safeties coach Matt Guerrieri to be a free safety. Bing is considered the No. 918 player in the country, the No. 78 cornerback and the No. 21 player in the state of Maryland.
