With the 50th annual Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, taking place this weekend, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day participated in the Golden Bear Pro-Am on Wednesday morning, and was paired with former Alabama coach Nick Saban for nine holes.
The two national championship-winning head coaches played with PGA Tour pros Justin Thomas and Corey Conners during the event.
The tee time for their group was 7:34 a.m., but the two coaches stood together for a photo op with the College Football Playoff championship trophy. The two shared some words before the photo op, according to Adam King of 10TV.
“We’re paired together out there,” Day said.
“Oh, that’s good. We have a lot to talk about,” Saban said.
“Yes, we do,” Day responded.
The two coaches matched up just once on the football field, with Saban and the Crimson Tide defeating Day and the Buckeyes on Jan. 11, 2021, in the national championship 52-24.
