Ross Bjork Expects Nov. 1 Game Against Penn State To Be Another Noon Game

In an appearance on WOSU’s All Sides on Wednesday, Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork said that he is expecting the Buckeyes’ game on Nov. 1 against Penn State to be a noon game.

On Tuesday, Bjork revealed some enhancements he is hoping to make to the environment for Ohio State home games, one of those things being three different color outs this season. Many who saw that the game against the Nittany Lions would be a black out had hope that meant it could be a primetime matchup, but Bjork doesn’t seem so confident in that.

“I think we know the Buckeyes drive Big Noon Kickoff,” Bjork said. “We probably know what’s going to happen around game time for that one.

“Fox, they love the Buckeyes, and Big Noon is a big deal. They’ve invested in that time slot. We’ll presume it’s a 12 noon kickoff.”

Ohio State finished the 2024 regular season with six straight noon games, and Fox has already announced that the Week 1 matchup against Texas and The Game on Nov. 29 will be noon kickoffs.

Currently, the Buckeyes have a night game against Ohio scheduled at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13, which realistically could be the only home night game they get this season. That game is set to be broadcast on Peacock.
