Any time there is a game as big as the Ohio State-Texas matchup happening on Aug. 30, the home team is bound to have recruits flock to campus to check out the environment.
The Buckeyes already have a long list of recruits who will be in Columbus when the Longhorns come to town, and with three weeks to go until the game, there will likely be many more who decide they want to be in town for the matchup if the noon kickoff allows them to be.
Most recently, five-star running back David Gabriel Georges said that he would be at Ohio State for the game, his third time making it to the OSU campus this year. Most recently, he was at a one-day recruiting camp over the summer, where he was clear about his interest in Ohio State and running backs coach Carlos Locklyn.
He is the No. 34 player in the 2027 class, the No. 3 running back and the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee according to 247Sports composite rankings. Gabriel Georges already has 33 Division I offers, including one from the Buckeyes that Locklyn extended on Aug. 1, 2024.
Ohio State will also have many different committed prospects who are getting back to campus for the game, including 2026 prospects running back Favour Akih, wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford, tight end Corbyn Fordham, offensive tackle Maxwell Riley, linebackers Cincere Johnson and CJ Sanna, defensive backs Blaine Bradford, Simeon Caldwell and Jordan Thomas and defensive lineman Jamir Perez.
The two 2027 Buckeye commitments, quarterback Brady Edmunds and wide receiver Jamier Brown also plan to be at the game.
