Ohio State On Top Lists For 2027 Tight Ends

Ohio State has apparently been able to make an impression on 2027 five-star tight end Brock Williams, who put the Buckeyes in his top three on Tuesday.

They are included with Georgia and Texas for the Libertyville, Ill., prep star. Williams is rated the No. 33 player in the country, the No. 2 tight end and No. 1 player in the state of Illinois, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Ohio State has made Williams a priority target in the class, and quarterback commit, four-star Brady Edmunds, has been trying to get the tight end to join him in the Buckeyes 2027 cycle.

Williams visited Columbus for the season-opening 14-7 win over the Longhorns.

Ohio State was also included on a top-eight list for 2027 four-star tight end Zac Fares out of Las Vegas Arbor View High School. He is the No. 219 player in the country, the No. 13 tight end and the No. 3 player in the state of Nevada.

Fares also included Miami (Fla.), Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, UNLV and Washington in his top eight.

2026 Cornerback/Safety Khmari Bing Reopens Recruitment

After going on an official visit to Columbus for the Buckeyes 42-3 win over Maryland on Saturday, three-star cornerback Khmari Bing has decommitted from Maryland and reopened his recruitment.

The timing of the decision seems like good news for the Buckeyes, but Bing will still be visiting Alabama and Indiana as well. He is considered the No. 913 player in the country, the No. 76 cornerback and the No. 21 player in the state of Maryland.

Safeties coach Matt Guerrieri is hoping to add to the 2026 class, trying to bring Bing in as a free safety. He would join five-star Blaine Bradford and four-star Simeon Caldwell in the cycle if he ends up with the Buckeyes.

Bing’s offer from Ohio State didn’t come until Sept. 16, but the process has ramped up quickly from there. He is still considering Maryland as well despite backing off of his commitment.\

OSU Makes New Scholarship Offers
