The Buckeyes are gaining momentum with another four-star defensive lineman.
Emanuel Ruffin of Bessemer City High School in Alabama has scheduled an official visit with Ohio State and will be in Columbus very soon.
After Ruffin heads to LSU the weekend of May 30, he will head to Ohio State the weekend on June 6, and also will be at Alabama June 20. He clarified on Twitter that those three schools aren’t necessarily a top three list, leaving open the possibility that he could schedule more official visits during his open weekends throughout the summer.
Ruffin is the No. 238 player in the country, the No. 30 defensive lineman and the No. 13 player in the state of Alabama.
He has 28 Division I offers, including others from Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, USC and Washington.
His initial offer from Ohio State didn’t come until May 5, so the Buckeyes might have some ground to make up when it comes to building a relationship with Ruffin, but the official visit will give defensive line coach Larry Johnson plenty of opportunity to do so.
