Ohio State’s non-conference schedule became official on Wednesday. Ohio State’s 11-game non-conference slate includes five high-major opponents
The Buckeyes, coming off a disappointing 17-15 season last year under head coach Jake Diebler, will open their 2025-26 campaign with a home game against IU Indy on Nov. 3. The Buckeyes will stay at home to take on two more mid-major opponents including Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 7 and Appalachian State on Nov. 11. Ohio State will then play its first high-major opponent when Notre Dame, led by former Penn State head coach Micah Shrewsberry, comes to Columbus on Nov. 18. After home games against Western Michigan and Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 20 and Nov. 25, the Buckeyes will play their first road game against Pittsburgh on Nov. 28.
Ohio State will face off against West Virginia on Dec. 13 for a neutral-site game in Cleveland at Rocket Arena.
One week later, Ohio State will face North Carolina as part of the CBS Sports Classic in Atlanta and after a home game against Grambling State on Dec. 23, Diebler’s team will wait until Feb. 14 to wrap up its regular-season nonconference slate with a neutral-site matchup with Virginia at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
