After compiling a record of 26-7 through its regular season games and the Big Ten Tournament, Ohio State received a no. 3 seed by the NCAA selection committee on Sunday.

The Buckeyes will match up against no. 14 seed Howard on Saturday in the first-round of the tournament. Howard finished the year 26-7. They qualified for the NCAA Tournament after winning the MEAC tournament over Norfolk State.

Also joining Ohio State in Columbus will be No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 11 Fairfield. With a win in the first round, the Buckeyes will match up with either Notre Dame or Fairfield in the second round of the Tournament.

The Buckeyes are part of the Fort Worth region and with a pair of wins in the first two rounds would likely match up against No. 2 seed Vanderbilt in the Sweet 16.

UConn is the No. 1 seed in the region.
