Ohio State Still At No. 1 In AP Top 25 After 34-0 Win Over Wisconsin

With a dominant 34-0 win over Wisconsin on Oct. 18, Ohio State still sits atop the AP top 25 for the eighth straight week. In the entire top 25, OSU was the only team to hold its spot from the previous week.

The Buckeyes received 60 first-place votes after their win and are followed by Indiana at No. 2 with six first-place votes. No other team received any votes for the first-place spot after Miami (Fla.) fell to Louisville on Oct. 17.

The Hurricanes dropped seven spots to No. 9 after their loss, but that wasn’t the biggest fall, with LSU going down from No. 10 to No. 20 after its loss to Vanderbilt, which took the Tigers’ spot at No. 10.

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 are No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Georgia Tech and No. 8 Ole Miss.

Illinois and Michigan also represent the Big Ten conference in the rankings at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively. The Illini were off this week after getting beaten by Ohio State on Oct. 11. The Wolverines are coming off a 24-7 win over Washington in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Louisville joins the rankings as the No. 19 team, with Illinois, No. 24 Arizona State and Michigan also vaulting into the top 25 this week.
