After just one season with the program, freshman safety Cody Haddad has entered the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of CBS Sports.

A former three-star recruit out of Cleveland St. Ignatius Haddad (6-1, 175) was ranked as the No. 523 overall recruit, the No. 45 safety, and the No. 19 player in the state of Ohio in the class of 2025, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Haddad did not play a snap at Ohio State in his only season with the Buckeyes and will have four seasons of eligibility left.

Haddad’s transfer comes after Ohio State picked up safeties Terry Moore (Duke) and Earl Little Jr. (Florida State) in the transfer portal Monday. The Buckeyes’ safety room will now consist of rising junior Jaylen McClain, rising redshirt sophomore Leroy Roker III, rising sophomore Deshawn Stewart, as well as class of 2026 recruits Blaine Bradford, Simeon Caldwell, Khmari Bing and Kaden Gebhardt.

Haddad is the 31st overall Buckeye to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
