Ohio State Remains No. 1 In AP Top 25 After Win Over Washington

After Ohio State’s Week 5 24-6 win over Washington, the Buckeyes are still No. 1 in the AP poll.

Another Big Ten team follows them in the top 25, with Oregon jumping four spots to No. 2 with its double overtime win over Penn State in State College, Pa. The Nittany Lions fell four spots to No. 7 after the loss.

Miami (Fla.) fell from No. 2 to No. 3 with Ole Miss rising more than any other team in the top 25 to No. 4 up from No. 13. Rounding out the top 10 are No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 Texas and No. 10 Alabama.

The Hoosiers played a close game against Iowa in Kinnick Stadium, winning 20-15 thanks to a big game by wide receiver Elijah Sarratt. Alabama visited the Bulldogs and knocked off Kirby Smart’s squad 24-21.

Florida State dropped more than any other team in the poll, falling from No. 8 to No. 18 after losing to Virginia.

The other Big Ten teams in the top 25 are No. 20 Michigan and No. 22 Illinois.

Newcomers in the top 25 are No. 24 Virginia and No. 25 Arizona State.
