While Ohio State was off this week, there was still a lot of college football. But no team did enough to pass the Buckeyes in the AP top 25, who are still at No. 1 in the country.
Miami (Fla.) jumped two spots to No. 2 after its win over Florida, dropping Penn State to No. 3 and LSU to No. 4. The Nittany Lions were also off this week. No. 5 Georgia and No. 6 Oregon stood pat in the rankings while Oklahoma jumped four spots to No. 7 with a 24-17 win over Auburn. The Sooners received one first-place vote in Week 5 of the poll.
Rounding out the top 10 are No. 8 Florida State, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 10 Texas.
After Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers blew out Illinois 63-10, Indiana took the largest jump in the rankings, moving from No. 19 to No. 11 while the Illini took the biggest tumble, falling 14 spots to No. 23.
Other Big Ten teams in the top 25 are No. 19 Michigan, which beat Nebraska 30-27 and No. 21 USC, which beat Purdue on Saturday and moved up four spots.
