Ohio State junior wide receiver Brandon Inniss is returning for his senior season, he announced on Thursday. Inniss, who started this year for the Buckeyes at their slot receiver position, hauled in 36 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Each total was a career-high.
Inniss theoretically could have departed Ohio State early and declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, but now projects to start alongside star receiver Jeremiah Smith.
Inniss, a 6-0, 199-pound receiver, was a highly-touted player out of American Heritage High School near Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was a four-star prospect ranked as the No. 38 overall player in the country, the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 10 player for Florida.
Still, Inniss didn’t make much of an impact until his second season in Columbus, when he helped the Buckeyes win the national championship by making 14 receptions for 176 yards and a touchdown.
Inniss has also been a weapon as a returner. In two seasons as the Buckeyes’ main punt returner, Inniss has returned 32 punts for 288 yards (9.0-yard average).
