After two seasons with Ohio State, redshirt freshman punter Nick McLarty has entered the transfer portal, according to BuckNuts.
The 6-7, 255-pound McLarty played in just two contests in 2024 behind starter Joe McGuire and ultimately redshirted, punting once each against Western Michigan and Marshall for an average of 32.5 yards. McLarty booted the football just once for 45 yards this season against Grambling State in Week 2.
A product of Caulfield Grammar & Punt Factory in Melbourne, Australia, McLarty signed with Ohio State as an unranked recruit in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports.
