Ohio State sent out a scholarship offer to a notable name on Sunday, giving one to Philadelphia St. Joseph’s 2028 wide receiver Jett Harrison (6-1, 175), the younger brother of former Buckeyes wide receiver and 2023 Biletnikoff Award winner and son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wideout Marvin Harrison Sr.
Harrison, who announced the offer on his Instagram account, is entering his second year at St. Joseph’s Prep, the same school that produced his brother, former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord and freshman running back Isaiah West. Harrison’s stats last season are not available, but he was a “starter from day one” for the football powerhouse, according to MaxPreps’ Stephen Spiewak, who named Harrison to his 2024 High School Football Freshman All-American Team after the season.
Ohio State is the first school to offer Harrison, according to 247Sports. But his talents as a pass catcher at such a young age have impressed many, including his older brother, who said back in November of 2023 that Jett was more talented than he was at that age.
“He’s great. He’s more talented than I ever was at that age,” Harrison said on Nov. 1, 2023. “He’s starting early with the routes and everything from my dad. I am super excited to see how he comes along. It’s going to be very scary to see how he progresses.”
Marvin also said at the time that Jett plans to play at Ohio State and “follow in my footsteps.”
The younger Harrison is the 22nd player in the class of 2028 to be offered by Ohio State as well as the third wide receiver, joining Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna’s Peter Pierce (6-3, 215) and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s Eric McFarland.
