Ohio State senior linebacker Ty Howard is entering the transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Howard spent one year with the Buckeyes, and appeared in just one game after transferring in from Duquesne. Howard played in 19 games over three seasons at Duquesne and had an outstanding season in 2024.
That year, Howard had 52 total tackles, including 7 for loss, four sacks and three interceptions over nine games with the Dukes.
Howard, a 5-11, 200-pound linebacker, didn’t have the same impact at Ohio State and will look to find a new home out of the transfer portal.
Howard is Ohio State’s first linebacker to enter the transfer portal, and the Buckeyes have already gained a commitment from former Wisconsin linebacker Christian Alliegro out of the portal.
