After three seasons with Ohio State, forward Devin Royal announced his intention to enter the transfer portal, which will open nationally on April 7, he told 247Sports.
The 6-6, 230-pound forward was Ohio State’s third leading scorer in 2025-26, averaging 13.7 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He started in all 32 games he played.
Royal made appearances in 33 of 36 games as a freshman in 2023-24, 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He then improved those marks to 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore, starting in 27 of 32 total games.
A product of Pickerington Central, Royal was a former four-star recruit and Mr. Basketball Ohio award winner in 2023.
Over his three-year career with the Buckeyes, Royal saw action in 96 of 102 total games for Ohio State and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
