Ohio State freshman defensive tackle Maxwell Roy is entering the transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos. Roy, a four-star recruit out of St. Joseph’s Prep, earned limited playing time for Ohio State this year.

Out of high school, Roy was ranked as the No. 357 player in the country, the No. 36 defensive lineman and the No. 10 player out of Pennsylvania.

Roy was a member of the 247 Sports “freaks list” and earned All-American honors as a wrestler in high school.

Roy is the fourth Ohio State defensive lineman to enter the transfer portal this season. He joins Dominic Kirks, Logan George and C.J. Hicks as defensive linemen who have departed from Ohio State by entering the transfer portal this season.
