Ohio State is expected to lose another player to the transfer portal. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported on Thursday that Ohio State sophomore cornerback Bryce West is entering the transfer portal.
West was a four-star recruit out of high school, ranked as the No. 64 player in the country, the No. 9 cornerback and the No. 2 player out of Ohio.
Behind several more experienced cornerbacks in the depth chart, during his two years at Ohio State, including Denzel Burke, Jermaine Mathews Jr., Davison Igbinosun, and Lorenzo Styles Jr., West received very little playing time at cornerback.
The Cleveland native appeared in 18 games over two years with the team. This year, West recorded 11 total tackles and forced a fumble.
West will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
