The Buckeyes are well-positioned for March.
With a handful of games left for each team in the regular season, the NCAA Tournament committee revealed on Sunday which teams would earn a top-four seed and receive home-court advantage for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament if the season ended today. Ohio State was listed a three seed and the No. 9 overall team in the field.
The Buckeyes were on the three-seed line along with No. 10 (overall) Duke, No. 11 Iowa and No. 12 TCU. Ohio State slotted just behind 2 seeds like No. 8 LSU, No. 7 Louisville, No. 6 Michigan and No. 5 Texas.
With a very difficult slate of games upcoming in the regular season, Ohio State will have ample opportunity to not only host its first two NCAA Tournament games but potentially even earn a No. 2 seed.
The Buckeyes will play three currently-ranked teams in their final five regular-season games.
