During his team’s 124-104 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James turned back the clock, tallying 28 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. The 41-year-old NBA legend had his prolific night while donning a pair of scarlet and gray shoes. James’ Ohio State 23 PE shoes had the “Block O” logo on the heel of the shoe.

In addition to wearing those shoes in the win over the Mavericks, Ohio State announced on Twitter that the four-time MVP and four-time NBA Finals MVP was gifting the new shoes to the men’s basketball team.

James, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, is a long-time Ohio State supporter. The native of Akron, Ohio, was in attendance for the football team’s national-championship win over Notre Dame in 2024 and has given the football team cleats in the past.
