According to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos and Hayes Fawcett, Ohio State freshman receiver Quincy Porter plans to enter the transfer portal.

Porter didn’t earn much playing time for the Buckeyes as a freshman, but it wasn’t for a lack of talent. Out of high school, he was ranked as the No. 23 overall player, the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 1 player out of New Jersey. Porter became a five-star after multiple impressive seasons at Bergen Catholic. Porter had 969 receiving yards in each of his final two prep seasons.

Still, Porter found himself behind several other talented and more experienced receivers on the depth chart, including star outside receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate when he arrived in Columbus. Playing in just four games this season, Porter hauled in four passes for 59 receiving yards.

Porter joins Mylan Graham and Bryson Rodgers as the third wide receiver to enter the transfer portal this year.
