Ohio State has long been trying to add a quarterback to its 2026 class, and did so on Thursday when four-star signal caller Luke Fahey committed to the Buckeyes.

He is the 20th commitment in the class, and joins after taking an official visit to Columbus from June 20-22, where he got his scholarship offer from quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler.

Fahey chose Ohio State over Indiana and Stanford, all three of which he took official visits to, but the Buckeyes were able to make the biggest impression in June.

He comes from the same high school as freshman OSU wide receiver Phillip Bell, where Fahey threw for 2,184 yards and 26 touchdowns as a sophomore while also rushing for 496 yards and a score. In his junior season, Fahey had 1,638 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and a 76.6 percent completuon percentage (105 for 137) with no interceptions and 183 rushing yards.

He is ranked by 247Sports composite as the No. 356 player in the country, the No. 24 quarterback and the No. 33 player in the state of California. He’s the fourth player from the state of California to join the 2026 class, along with Mater Dei wide receivers Chris Henry Jr. and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and defensive end Khary Wilder.
