Former Wisconsin Linebacker Christian Alliegro Transfers To Ohio State

Former Wisconsin linebacker Christian Alliegro committed to Ohio State on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

As a junior for the Badgers in 2025, Alliegro racked up 49 tackles, four sacks and one pass defended. For his career at Wisconsin, the 6-4, 245-pound linebacker has recorded 120 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.

Alliegro was a three-star prospect out of Avon Old Farms (Conn.), ranking No. 104 among linebackers nationally and No. 7 overall in the state of Connecticut despite being unranked in 247Sports composite rankings.

Alliegro will be an important piece for Ohio State, which is likely losing both starters to the NFL, with Sonny Styles out of eligibility and Arvell Reese being projected in the top-10 picks in most mock drafts.

A physical linebacker who can play either Mike or Will, Alliegro adds experience and depth to an Ohio State linebacker room in need of a veteran that will also feature rising junior Payton Pierce and rising sophomore Riley Pettijohn.
