After two seasons with the Buckeyes, former Ohio State running back Sam Dixon has reportedly transferred to South Carolina, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Dixon initially entered the transfer portal following the 2024 season before returning to Ohio State for his redshirt freshman campaign, then re-entered on Jan. 1.
The 5-11, 206-pound running back committed to the Gamecocks Friday evening and will have three years of eligibility remaining in Columbia.
Dixon appeared in five games during his two seasons at Ohio State, recording 10 carries for 62 yards and one touchdown, while preserving an extra season after redshirting his freshman year.
Dixon is now the eighth Buckeye to find a new home since entering the transfer portal, joining Lincoln Kienholz (Louisville), James Peoples (Penn State), Isaiah Kema (Utah), Bryce West (Wisconsin), Nick McLarty (Arizona State), as well as Bryson Rodgers and C.J. Hicks (South Florida).
