
Former Ohio State and Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested Wednesday night in Lakewood, Ohio, on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to police records.
Lakewood police reportedly arrested Lattimore in the 11700 block of Clifton Boulevard on Wednesday at 6:14 p.m., police records read.
The Washington Commanders released a statement regarding Lattimore’s arrest.
“We have been made aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. We have informed the NFL League Office and have no further comment at this time,” the statement read.
Lattimore, a product of Cleveland Glenville High School, spent three seasons at Ohio State, helping the Buckeyes win a national championship in 2014 and earning First-team All-Big Ten honors in 2016.
The 6-0, 192-pound cornerback was drafted 11th overall in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by New Orleans and spent eight seasons with the Saints from 2017-24 while earning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2017 and Pro-Bowl nominations four times (2017, 2019-21).
After being traded in the 2024 offseason to Washington, Lattimore has played in nine games with the Commanders over two seasons, racking up 31 tackles, 10 passes defensed and one interception.
