
Former Ohio State offensive lineman and four-year letter-winner Bob Maggs died at the age of 61 on Oct. 23.
According to his obituary, Maggs died unexpectedly.
Maggs was a decorated recruit out of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown. He was a Parade All-American and a two-time All-Ohio honoree.
Maggs was Ohio State’s starting center in 1985 and 1986 and earned All-Big Ten first-team honors for each of those seasons.
Maggs helped lead the Buckeyes to respective records of 9-3 and 10-3 in 1985 and 1986.
He is the father of Ohio State walk-on quarterback Mason Maggs, who is currently in his fourth season with the program.
