Rutgers gained a 2025 basketball commitment on Wednesday in four-star shooting guard Dorian Jones, a former Ohio State signee.
Ohio State signed Jones in May, but academic issues ultimately made it so he wasn’t able to enroll at the university. He decommitted from the Buckeyes after he wasn’t able to attend and posted online that he would attend a prep school or junior college for a year to focus on development.
After reopening his recruitment, Jones has now committed to the Scarlet Knights.
The Buckeyes still added four-star forward A’mare Bynum and three-star point guard Myles Herro in the 2025 class as well as guard Mathieu Grujicic from Germany.
