The Buckeyes have reportedly secured another commitment from the transfer portal. Former Florida State safety Earl Little Jr. committed to Ohio State on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

Little comes to Ohio State after having a career-best season last year for the Seminoles. On the way to earning All-ACC second-team honors, Little had 76 total tackles, including two for loss, four interceptions and two forced fumbles. He appeared in all 12 of Florida State’s games last season and also had two passes defended.

Little, who went for tackles in 2024 at Florida State, originally started his career at Alabama. The 6-1, 199-pound safety appeared in 11 games over two seasons with the Crimson Tide and logged just two total tackles.

Little was a highly-ranked player out of high school. Little was a four-star ranked as the No. 106 player in the country, the No. 12 cornerback and the No. 16 player from Florida.

Little has one year of eligibility remaining. He originally declared for the 2026 NFL draft in December, but withdrew his name and opted to enter the transfer portal.

Little projects to take over as a starter for junior safety Caleb Downs, who recently declared for the NFL Draft.
