Ohio State earned its second commitment of the 2028 class when five-star defensive lineman Jameer Whyce pledged his services to the Buckeyes on Oct. 16.

Out of Trotwood-Madison High School in Dayton, Whyce is considered the No. 33 prospect in the country, the No. 5 defensive lineman and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio. He holds 14 Division I offers, but didn’t take long to decide that he wants to remain in-state.

He joins four-star running back Elijah Newman-Hall in the 2028 class for the Buckeyes.

Whyce was first offered by the Buckeyes when he was in Columbus for multiple one-day recruiting camps in June and he was back for 7-on-7 competition as well.
