A week before the 2025 season begins, safety Caleb Downs gifted the entire Ohio State football team Beats headphones for the second straight season.
In a video posted to Twitter by the official Ohio State football account, Downs spoke to the team.
“We’ve been putting in a lot of work. In the Bible, it says, ‘discipline precedes time for a harvest.’ It’s time for the harvest. We’ve got action next week. We’ve got action,” Downs said. “It’s time to let it go. It’s time to let it show on the field. But God has blessed me with a chance to gift everybody on the team with a pair of Beats. I appreciate y’all. We’ve got some stuff to do next weekend. Let’s keep working.”
The Buckeye captain is partnered with Beats this season along with eight other college football players around the country, including Week 1 opponent Texas defensive end Colin Simmons.
Downs is set to lead the Buckeye defense by likely playing in a few different roles this season after he was seen playing at the Nickel early on in fall camp as the coaching staff tries to keep the ultra-talented safety as close to the ball as possible.
