Availability Report: Kenyatta Jackson Jr. Available Against Grambling St.

By September 6, 2025 (1:30 pm)Football

All Ohio State starters will be available for the game against Grambling St. on Saturday, with defensive end Kenyatta Jackson Jr. not listed among the injured Buckeyes.

Jackson went down in the third quarter of last week’s 14-7 win over Texas and didn’t return, but head coach Ryan Day anticipated that it wouldn’t be anything that would impact him long term, although he didn’t say exactly what the injury was.

““Kenyatta, I don’t think I can come out and say exactly what it was, but they took his helmet away and we’ll evaluate how that is moving forward,” Day said after the game. “But I don’t see it being a long-term injury.”

It’s still possible that the Buckeyes could elect to sit Jackson against the Tigers. Even if he does get on the field, he likely won’t be out there long with his backups ready to take some snaps.

Defensive tackle Jason Moore remains out against the Tigers, as do running back Anthony Rogers, defensive tackle Maxwell Roy and safety Deshawn Stewart.

This game could have been a good chance for those players to get some reps in once the Buckeyes take a big lead, but they will have to wait for another opportunity.
